The Montana Fish and Game Department has changed rules on the Madison river by the West Fork. The section is now open year around for anglers. West Fork Cabins are going to open earlier, on the first part of May now, to give fishermen a chance at the river before runoff, which is often very good fishing with streamers and other early-season fly patterns.
